Emma & Duane's Joy-Filled Wedding Day: Love, Laughter & Beautiful Memories

From the very first time I met Emma and Duane, I had a feeling their wedding day was going to be something truly special. They were relaxed, full of laughter, and so obviously excited to begin this new chapter together. When their big day finally arrived, they exceeded every expectation.


Despite a heatwave making one of the hottest days of the year even warmer, Emma and Duane embraced every single moment with huge smiles and an infectious sense of fun. Nothing dampened their spirits, and their positivity made the entire day such a joy to photograph.


One of my favourite parts of the day was spending time with them during their bride and groom portraits. While every couple hopes for those timeless, romantic images they'll treasure forever, I also love creating space for natural laughter and genuine connection. Rather than feeling overly posed, Emma and Duane simply enjoyed being together, chatting, laughing, and soaking up those first quiet moments as newlyweds.


Those are often the photographs that become favourites—not because everything is perfectly posed, but because they're real. The smiles are genuine, the laughter is spontaneous, and every image reflects the personalities of the couple rather than just the timeline of the day.


Wedding photography is about so much more than documenting events. It's about preserving the emotions, the little glances, the happy tears, the inside jokes, and the moments that you'll look back on years from now and remember exactly how you felt.
