From Bump to Almost First Steps…

I first met Rachel last August when we headed outdoors for her maternity photoshoot — and just look at her! Doesn't she look absolutely beautiful?

Since then, I've been lucky enough to catch up with this lovely family a few times and watch their story unfold.

Fast-forward to our recent summer catch-up and that little bump is now a very smiley Sonny, busy exploring the world and getting so close to taking those very first steps!

This is exactly why I love photographing families through the years. One minute, I'm capturing a beautiful bump and all the excitement and anticipation of meeting a new baby. Before you know it, that same little baby is crawling towards my camera, finding their feet and developing a whole personality of their own.

It was also so lovely to capture Piper and Sonny together. They already have such a gorgeous sibling bond — full of smiles, playfulness and those natural little moments between them that you simply can't manufacture. Piper is clearly one very proud big sister.

Thank you, Rachel and family, for inviting me back to capture another chapter of your story. It's always such a pleasure seeing you all and watching your beautiful family grow.
