From This… to This
One of the loveliest parts of being a family photographer is getting to watch your little ones grow.
Sometimes I don't quite realise just how much they've changed until they come back in front of my camera — and I look back at the photographs from their very first session.
This little lady is the perfect example.
From Tiny Baby Cuddles…
I first photographed her when she was just a tiny baby.
Those early photographs captured all the little details that change far too quickly — the tiny features, cuddles with Mum and those quiet moments from the very beginning of their story together.
Fast-forward to now, and she recently came back in front of my camera for one of my Mummy & Me photography sessions.
And this time, she brought a LOT more personality with her!
…to Giggles, Smiles & Personality
I've recently been busy working my way through nine gorgeous Mummy & Me galleries, and while editing this family's latest photographs, I couldn't resist looking back at her first session.
Seeing the two sessions side by side really made me smile.
The tiny baby cuddles have turned into giggles, cheeky smiles and a wonderful little personality — and Mum now has photographs from two completely different chapters of their relationship.
That's exactly why I love photographs like these so much.
When you're living through those everyday moments, it can feel as though they'll last forever. But little ones change incredibly quickly, and before you know it, the baby you once held in your arms is running around, laughing and showing you exactly who they're becoming.
Capturing the Next Chapter
It's always incredibly special when families choose to come back to Rosie Moments Photography.
I might only see your family for a short time during each session, but over the years those galleries begin to tell a much bigger story — from newborn cuddles and first birthdays to family adventures and all the milestones in between.
And I feel very lucky that I get to capture a little piece of it.
Have you been coming to me since your little ones were tiny? I'd love to know how many of my families have their own then & now Rosie Moments photographs. 🤍
