A Woodland First Birthday Session

There's something so special about photographing returning families, and it was such a pleasure to catch up with Wilf again to celebrate his first birthday.

For his birthday session, we headed to a beautiful local woodland, where the trees provided the most magical backdrop for a relaxed outdoor photoshoot. Surrounded by nature, we captured lots of genuine smiles, curious little moments, and, of course, finished with a woodland cake smash!

I love taking birthday sessions outdoors. They give little ones the freedom to explore, play, and simply enjoy the experience without feeling posed. The result is a gallery full of natural, joy-filled photographs that capture their personality at this wonderful milestone.

Wilf looked so sweet in his blue and white romper, and watching him investigate his birthday cake amongst the woodland setting made for some truly memorable photographs. These are the moments that families love looking back on years later.
