Back to School

It’s that time of year again! New uniforms, shiny shoes, freshly packed school bags and lots of excitement (and perhaps a few butterflies!) as children everywhere start or head back to school. ❤️

I always love seeing all the back-to-school photographs being shared at this time of year. They’re such simple photographs in the moment, but before you know it, another school year has flown by and they become wonderful little memories to look back on.

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing these lovely sisters for their very own back-to-school photo shoot.

It was an exciting milestone for them both — another new school year for one and, for her little sister, the incredibly special moment of starting school for the very first time. 🥰

With their uniforms looking beautifully smart, school bags ready and lots of smiles, it was the perfect opportunity to capture this moment in their childhood.

Because, as every parent knows, those uniforms never stay quite this pristine for long! 😄

Starting school is such a huge milestone, not only for children but for their families too.

Those first-day photographs become part of your family story — a reminder of just how little they were, how proud they looked in their new uniform and the beginning of a whole new adventure.

That’s why I love creating photographs around these everyday milestones. They might not feel like huge occasions at the time, but they’re often the memories we treasure most as the years pass.

And having two sisters together makes those photographs even more special. One day, they’ll be able to look back and remember this chapter of their childhood together. ❤️
