Buttercup Counting & Ice Cream Adventures in Frampton on Severn

Today we headed out on a little adventure to do some very important buttercup counting in search of the perfect spot for a dreamy buttercup photo session ☀️💛

With ice creams in hand and sunshine overhead, we wandered through the beautiful village of Frampton on Severn, exploring the gorgeous wildflower patches around the green and stopping for cuddles, giggles, and flower picking along the way.

After the huge love for my bluebell sessions this year, I wanted to find another beautiful seasonal setting that feels natural, relaxed, and full of childhood magic — and I think we may have found it.

There’s something so timeless about buttercups. The bright yellow flowers, long grass, warm sunshine, and little ones running freely through the meadow make the perfect backdrop for natural family photographs.

These are the kinds of sessions where children can simply be children — collecting flowers, exploring pathways, sharing cuddles, and enjoying the moment.

Frampton on Severn is such a stunning location for this kind of shoot too. Between the buttercup-filled green, charming brick walls, hidden pathways, and picturesque village surroundings, every corner feels beautifully summery and full of character.

Watching siblings interact naturally, little personalities shine through, and families slow down together is always my favourite part of these sessions. The joy is in the in-between moments — the flower exchanges, the tiny hands full of petals, the laughter, and the cuddles in the grass.

I honestly can’t wait to capture more golden summer memories like these 🌼💛
