Cece’s First Birthday Cake Smash in the Woodlands 🎂

It was so lovely to meet beautiful Cece and her family recently for her very first birthday cake smash session. First birthdays are always such special milestones to capture, and this session was full of so much joy, laughter, and the sweetest family moments 🤍

We headed into the woodlands for the shoot, where the soft bluebells created the most beautiful natural backdrop. The subtle tones of the flowers added such a dreamy touch to the session without taking away from the star of the show — birthday girl Cece!

Cake smash sessions are always so much fun because every little one reacts differently. Some dive straight in, others take a little investigating first, and some simply enjoy making as much mess as possible! Cece gave us the sweetest smiles throughout, and of course there was plenty of cake-covered chaos along the way 🎂

One of my favourite parts of milestone sessions is slowing things down afterwards to capture some relaxed family photographs too. These moments together are so important — cuddles, giggles, little hand holds, and all the connections that make your family unique. They’re the memories you’ll look back on for years to come.

First birthday sessions are about so much more than cake. They’re about celebrating a whole year of love, growth, and unforgettable moments with your little one.
