Celebrating Noah's Half Birthday: Why Six Months Is Such a Special Milestone

There are so many exciting milestones during your baby's first year, and six months is one of my absolute favourites to photograph.

Recently, sweet Noah came along to celebrate his half birthday, and he couldn't have been more adorable. From the biggest beaming smiles to those curious little expressions that make this age so much fun, he brought so much personality to his session. It was an absolute joy to capture this special stage in his journey.

At around six months old, babies are changing every single day. They're often sitting independently or just beginning to, they're fascinated by the world around them, and their personalities are really starting to shine through. Those gorgeous gummy smiles, chubby cheeks, and bright, inquisitive eyes make this one of the most photogenic stages of babyhood.

Unlike the sleepy days of a newborn session, six-month milestone sessions are full of interaction and expression. Babies are often happy to engage with the camera, giggle at familiar faces, and show off all the little quirks that make them unique. These are the photographs that capture who they are becoming, not just how they looked.
