Emily & Daniel’s Engagement Shoot

I recently shared a little bit of Emily and Daniel’s solar eclipse engagement shoot. 🌙✨

But while waiting for the eclipse to make its appearance, we had plenty of time to explore the beautiful surroundings at Stinchcombe Golf Course — and we were treated to the most gorgeous golden evening light!

It really couldn’t have been a better setting for their engagement photographs. 😍

Golden Hour at Stinchcombe

There’s something about that soft evening light that makes everything feel a little bit magical, and we definitely made the most of it.

We wandered around the course, chatted, laughed and stopped whenever we found a lovely little spot for photographs.

The result was a really relaxed collection of images that feel completely natural and, most importantly, feel like Emily and Daniel.

A Little Wedding-Day Practice 📸

An engagement shoot is also the perfect opportunity to practise being in front of the camera before your wedding day.

For most couples, having professional photographs taken isn’t something you do every day! It can feel a little strange at first, especially if you’re someone who usually avoids the camera.

That’s exactly why I love engagement sessions.

There’s no wedding-day schedule to think about and no pressure. We can take our time, have a laugh and give you the chance to discover that having your photograph taken really isn’t something to worry about.

It also gives us the opportunity to get to know each other a little better before the big day.

By the time the wedding arrives, Emily and Daniel will already know how I work, what to expect and, hopefully, the camera won’t feel quite so unfamiliar.

Bring on the Wedding! 💍🥂

Judging by these photographs, though, I don’t think Emily and Daniel need much more practice!

They absolutely smashed their engagement shoot, and now I’m even more excited to photograph the next chapter.

Emily & Daniel… bring on the wedding!
