From Bump to Baby: Capturing Your Family's Story

There is something incredibly special about photographing a family's journey from pregnancy to parenthood. It's more than just a collection of beautiful images—it's the story of a brand-new chapter, told through moments of love, anticipation, and connection.

Recently, I had the privilege of seeing this journey come full circle with one wonderful family. It began with a maternity session, capturing the excitement and anticipation of meeting their little one. Those quiet moments of Mum gently holding her bump, the smiles shared between the parents, and the dreams of the future all became part of a story that was only just beginning.

Then, just a few weeks later, I had the joy of welcoming them back—this time with their beautiful baby safely in their arms.

There's something so magical about seeing the transformation. The bump that once held so much promise is now a precious little person, surrounded by endless cuddles, tiny fingers wrapped around Mum and Dad's hands, sleepy snuggles, and the unmistakable love that fills the room.

These sessions are some of my favourites because they capture not just milestones, but the journey itself. When you look back through your photographs years from now, you'll be able to remember the excitement of waiting, the emotions of becoming parents, and those precious early days that pass by far too quickly.
