Watching Families Grow: A Beautiful Family Session in Frampton-on-Severn

One of the most rewarding parts of being a family photographer isn't just meeting new families—it's being invited back to capture the next chapter of their story.
Recently, I had the pleasure of catching up with Fiona, Dan, and little Oliver for a relaxed family session in the beautiful village of Frampton-on-Severn. It only feels like yesterday that I was photographing Oliver as a tiny newborn, so seeing him again, full of personality and curiosity, was incredibly special.
We spent a sunny afternoon wandering through the village, taking our time and allowing the session to unfold naturally. There were plenty of cuddles, laughter, playful moments, and those little in-between interactions that often become the most treasured photographs. Rather than focusing on perfectly posed images, we embraced the joy of simply spending time together as a family.
These relaxed outdoor sessions are some of my favourites because they allow children to explore, play, and be themselves. The result is a collection of genuine moments that reflect your family's unique personality and the love you share.
Seeing Oliver's confidence and character shine through was a wonderful reminder of just how quickly little ones grow. Those tiny newborn features are replaced with cheeky smiles, adventurous steps, and a growing curiosity about the world around them. Every stage is fleeting, and each deserves to be remembered.
Returning families hold a very special place in my heart. Being trusted to document not just one milestone, but many, is something I never take for granted. Watching families grow, celebrating new chapters, and creating lasting memories together is one of the greatest privileges of my job.
To Fiona, Dan, and Oliver—thank you once again for inviting me to capture another chapter of your family's story. It was so lovely to spend the afternoon with you, and I hope these photographs always remind you of this wonderful season of life and all the joy it brought.
If you're looking for relaxed, natural family photography that captures genuine moments and real connections, I'd love to help tell your family's story. Whether it's your first session or you've visited me before, every chapter deserves to be remembered.
